On Sunday, May 11, 2025, Global Friends, a student volunteer community under the International Affairs Cooperation Office (IACO) of Soegijapranata Catholic University (SCU), held its monthly meeting with a festive Easter theme. The event embraced the joy and warmth of Easter, featuring engaging games and a sense of community. Hosted by the lively duo, Albert and Michelle as MCs, the meeting brought laughter, excitement, and meaningful interaction among the members.

The event kicked off with an energizing icebreaker game of “Simon Says,” where participants had to follow instructions quickly and correctly. This game also served as a fun way to form random groups for the next game: “Tic Tac Toe – Bottle Flip Edition.” Each team competed in flipping bottles to earn the right to mark X or O in a giant tic-tac-toe grid, adding a layer of challenge and speed to the classic game.

The second game, “EBO” or Estafet Botol, brought even more fun as teams worked together to pass a plastic cup using only inflated balloons. One person had to blow a balloon into the cup until it hovered, passing it to the next teammate in line using the same method. Laughter burst as cups wobbled and balloons soared, highlighting the playful spirit of the day.

Next, came the third game: Rock, Paper, Scissors—Team Edition. Each group sent representatives to face off in a relay-style “pingsut” (Indonesians traditional game similar to rock paper scissors game) competition. The first team to have all its members win in a round would be declared as the winner, fueling a mix of strategy, luck, and loud cheering.

The event ended on a heartfelt note with the “Love Letter” activity. Each participant wrote their name on a sheet of paper and passed it to the right. As the paper made its way around the circle, everyone wrote a message for the person whose name was on the paper, resulting in touching and memorable keepsakes for all.

To wrap up the day, the MCs announced the winning teams and presented small awards to celebrate their efforts. In addition, Natasha, the President of Global Friends, gave a special nomination to the most outstanding division of the month, honoring their dedication and hard work.

The Easter-themed monthly meeting was a perfect blend of joy, teamwork, and appreciation. As always, Global Friends managed to turn a routine report session into a creative, collaborative, and unforgettable gathering.
